This is a Sparton model 121, type 8L9 from 1949. This radio has both AM and FM bands. Now the really interesting thing about this radio is that it was manufactured in Jackson, Michigan, my birth city! The radio was made by Sparks Withington, Co. I was surprised to find an original Operating Instruction manual tucked away in the back of the radio.
