What is parapet gutter?
A gutter at the intersection of a parapet wall and the bottom of a roof slope. They drain rainwater from the bottom edge(s) of a sloping roof surface. They generally appear to be flat, that is the top edges are parallel to the parapet wall and the roof surface.
Can you install gutters without a drip edge?
If the home has no gutter, the drip edge will prevent the water from running down the fascia and onto or into the soffit cavity. However, without the drip edge, the water sticks to shingles, potentially working its way under the shingles to cause a leak.
