Our Wishbone Chairs are a perfect seat height for 75-80cm tables. So if you have found other chairs to be a little on the low side, please consider our taller ones. How long does Danish cord last?
Apparently, most paper cord is lightly waxed so, to some extent, resists dirt and the web site for Carl Hansen has useful suggestions for how to clean and maintain paper cord. With care a good seat is said to last up to 60 years before it needs to be rewoven.
How do you protect paper cord seats?
The best possible protection is to use seat cushions. Paper yarn carpets are always provided with a stain repellent. This prevents dirt from being sucked up by the paper cord. The treatment also makes the carpets easier to care for, but it doesn’t mean that they don’t have to be cleaned at all.
