Why is the glass on my smooth top stove cracking?

All the other burners are fine. To be on the safe side, call the manufacturer. We have a glass top stove and have read warnings online about them cracking or the glass exploding for various reasons. One cause of the discoloration could be that one of the eyes is overheating under the glass. Better safe than sorry.

Why are there stains on the top of my stovetop?

Looks like you have worn off the top surface of the stovetop. The spotted effect is applied after the stovetop is manufactured – I’ve worn mine off in a couple of places also. Nothing to be done, unfortunately. Elaine gave me an idea…perhaps it is stress fractures IN the glass. Someone may have dropped something on it. Just a thought….

What can I use to get stains out of the glass of a smooth top stove?

The problem is, the stains look like they may be under the glass. I have used every imaginable product and combinations of products and the stains haven’t budged. Vinegar, baking soda, Bar Keepers Friend, Comet cleanser, oven cleaner, glass top stove cleaners, fine steel wool, synthetic scrubbed etc. you get the idea.

Why are there black speckles under my smooth top stove?

Not sure but I know for 100% sure my white speckles are still there I saw them magnified but dark and discolored. They used two inks on same layer, black and white, to create that affect. So if you were scraping off white you’d also be scraping off the black, not the case. As far as I can tell there is no way to fix this.

Which is the best portable stove for bugging out?

The SilverFire is my favorite version of a portable manufactured survival stove. It is fairly lightweight and small – yet not small and lightweight enough to be carried in a bugout bag. This version of a rocket stove is incredibly durable and can get water to a boiling point rapidly.

What do you need to know about survival stoves?

During a SHTF situation you must have a heat source that functions on readily available fuel to boil water for purification, cook, stay warm, and perhaps even to cauterize a wound. Quality survival stoves must be three things: lightweight, portable, and quick lighting.
